First, I want to start off by saying – there was no RAPTOR overnight and I am bitterly disappointed. After all the fuss and carry on over on Threads, I had expected to see dozens of them roaming the streets, leaving chaos, a myriad of burning buildings and dinosaur shit in their wake but, it turns out, like most of the posts on Threads, it was just some dude who made a typo and made a whole thing out of nothing.
Second, the world lost Chuck Norris. Rumour has it Death barely survived the ordeal. Witnesses say that Death has been left shaken by the experience and will be spending the next 8 weeks at a spiritual retreat in order to recover physically, mentally and emotionally from his injuries.
In fact, the aftershocks of Chuck Norris passing were so huge, no seismograph on the planet could measure them. In fact, they were so big, they managed to take out Nicholas Brendon ( Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in his sleep shortly thereafter.
May they both Rest In Peace. As a Gen X kid, I will miss them very much indeed.
Now, to the reason for this blog. KITTENS.
Last week, you may recall that our baby girl Miss Floof became ill with some sort of gastrointestinal issue.
If you’ve not read it and wish to catch up.. You can do so here: https://domainsaredumb.blog/2026/03/15/the-week-that-was-all-about-the-floof/
This week saw our boy kitten Jetson end up with the same thing. He seemed to have a worse time of it, with him not only being off his food entirely but he also experienced diarrhea and vomiting which meant Hubby had to clean up several messes off the carpet and the furniture ( I did try my best but sadly I do not have the stomach for cat vomit) which was not fun, I can assure you.
Jetson was also taken to the vet a few times. He was given an anti -nausea medication and we were told to keep an eye on him. The vet checked him over and despite being ill, he was a healthy weight, not dehydrated and didn’t seem in any form of major discomfort.
At time of writing this blog, neither our vet or ourselves have no answer as to what could have made both our kittens so ill in such a short period of time. We have been racking our brains for days and so far, we’ve come up with nothing.
They are both senior cats (Miss Floof will turn 11 this year and Mr Jetson will turn 12) and both, it seems have a particularly sensitive constitution when it comes to food. We don’t tend to give them Human food very often – preferring to give them cat treats as prescribed by our vet.. so again, we are at a loss at the moment as to what made both ill with the same thing.
It will forever remain a mystery and one, we hope, will never happen again.
Thanks for reading
